		<description>Say no more. I remember waiting tables for 5 years making a measly $2.13/hr so yes I was very dependent on tips. If it was a slow night I was screwed. Sometimes I liked being a hostess instead. You don&#039;t get tips but at least you know what your paycheck will look like at the end of the week. I was also a restaurant manager. The pay wasn&#039;t lucrative but I wasn&#039;t starving either. I&#039;m just glad I was paid overtime because the hours as you know are super long. Just my opinion but I think salaried managers are underpaid.</description>

		<description>Ah the 7 train! Memories! My family lives in Jackson Heights, Queens so that&#039;s the train I&#039;m always on when I go to NYC. I&#039;ve never been to Chinatown in Flushing but your description reminds me of the one here in LA. I too respect other cultures&#039; dining but yes the pics of the frogs made me squirm as the real ones I&#039;ve seen on the streets in Chinatown here made me do the same. And yes it&#039;s totally a culture shock. Actually, Queens is chock full of different cultures so it&#039;s super easy to try diff. cuisines without going too far from home.</description>
